Dr. Rajesh Shah’s entry into the “Limca Book of Records” :

“The Limca Book of Records, 2001 has made a new entry indicating a new record as under: Dr. Rajesh Shah, Director, Homeopathy India Foundation has treated patients from 77 countries since he started his practice in 1985 in Mumbai. Graduating from Bombay Homoeopathic Medical College, in 1984, his first patient from abroad was in 1985. The global patients vary from poor families from countries like Ethiopia to the family of the ex-president of the United States. Besides his teaching visits to countries and his articles in international periodicals, the Internet has played a major role in helping his patients find him directly. He has started Homeopathy Information Cell a unique interactive service on the Internet."

Over the period of last 15 years, Dr.Rajesh Shah has been communicating with the people through various media to spread the message of homoeopathy. “I am a homoeopathy activist,” says Dr. Shah.

The readers of various publications in many countries, the viewers of his talks on the television, the students and the doctors who have been taught by him in many countries and the visitors to his websites, who were looking out for someone who could treat patients with homoeopathy, found Dr. Rajesh Shah’s clinic as a source of treatment. As on now, Dr. Rajesh Shah’s clinics in Mumbai has been visited by patients from many countries. There are so many people who come to Mumbai for getting treated with homoeopathy by Dr. Shah.

“My responsibility towards my patients who visit me all the way flying over 12000 kilometers, is all the more. I am morally bound to make sure that their faith in homoeopathy grows,” admits Dr. Shah.

“The patients who consult me in Mumbai or through the internet, usually present with difficult disease situations, such as resistant skin diseases like eczema, Lichen planus, vitiligo, allergies, ulcerative colitis, asthma, rheumatoid Arthritis, migraines, Multiple Sclerosis, etc.,” he continues further, “ the patients present during different stages of illnesses and the results depend on the extent of the disease.”

When asked if patients consult him during his teaching in foreign countries, Dr. Rajesh Shah replied: “Yes, they do. In fact, there are always appointments long before I am scheduled to visit any countries for a teaching. The references come from the doctors and students who attend my seminars. On some occasions, it becomes difficult to see all the patients who are willing to consult me in person during my stay in foreign countries. Interestingly, I remember having seen patients who visited me at the airport, just before catching the flight!”

Dr. Shah adds, “ There is growing awareness about the alternative medicine in the world. People have been keen to consider natural means of healing such as homoeopathy.”

Dr. (Mrs.) Rupal Shah, who is a part of the homoeopathy promotion project started by Dr.Shah, handles the cases of children and females in particular. “It is pleasure treating children who suffer from respiratory problems such as asthma, where homoeopathy has a great role to play.” “ Asthma in children is common not only in India but also in countries like USA, Australia, Sweden and England, continues Dr.Rupal Shah. “ There are many of emotional problems amongst the females in the developed countries mainly due to the culture. It is sad to find that broken marriages, emotional traumas, work pressure, sexual abuse, child abuse, etc. are more common in those countries which have some roots in developing chronic diseases in women and children.”

“Initially it gave me a sense of achievement when I realized that there were patients coming to me from over 77 countries,” says Dr.Shah. He continues, “However, my responsibility is several folds more as I do realize that the world is bigger then just 77 countries! It will amount to harder work throughout my life, which is devoted to the cause of homoeopathy, as homoeopathy is not just a profession for me but more of a mission.”
