    Scope of Homeopathy:
Homeopathy has no role to play.

    Retinal Detachment

Retinal detachment is a condition in which the retina peels off from the underlying supportive tissue. Retina is the innermost layer of the eye which reacts to light and forms images .It is a medical emergency.

    Symptoms:

The patient sees floaters, cobwebs or specks or light flashes or a curtain over the field of vision, heaviness in the eye, a dense shadow that moves from the peripheral vision to central vision, straight lines appearing curved

    Risk Factors:

    1. Aging
    2. Injury to the eye
    3. Injury to the head
    4. Family history of Retinal Detachment
    5. Myopia of long standing
    6. Other eye diseases like uveitis
    7. Post cataract surgery
    8. Diabetic Retinopathy
    9. Sickle Cell Disease

    Treatment:

Laser Surgery or freeze treatment known as cryopexy is used to treat retinal detachment. Surgical results are best if the macula (a point in the retina where the light is concentrated and images are formed) is not affected.

Homeopathy has no role to play in the treatment of Retinal Detachment.
